When we first toured this artfully curated home, we knew immediately that it was the only space in this family home in the countryside that felt innately disconnected. This family bathroom, faithful in its decades of service, had quietly languished, cared for, yet unrealised in its full potential.
There simply was no turning back after seeing our clients eyes light up when we suggested adding windows into this windowless space (in conjunction with a much improved functional layout, of course). “Oh but Ben, what about privacy from these full-height windows?” But that’s what bathing in nature is all about.
This simple, yet profound gesture, made connecting it to the outside world almost provocative but equally as important was that it finally unified the room with the entire home.
